Mumbai: Moser Baer Photo Voltaic Limited (MBPV) has said it has commenced commercial shipment of its solar photovoltaic cells.
The company said the manufacturing facility has started producing photovoltaic cells at expected level of output with cell efficiency levels up to 15.5%.
"The in-line high yield systems are critical for rapid deployment of solar power in large scale and volumes. The response for our product has been encouraging and we have queries or orders from customers based out of America, Europe and South Asia," MBVP CEO Ravi Khanna said.
The firm’s total order book and MoUs exceeds $100 million, MBPV said in a statement.
MBPV would also implement a 20 MW module making capacity in the coming quarter.
