New Delhi: Indraprastha Gas Ltd, which supplies piped natural gas and compressed natural gas in the national capital region, on Thursday posted a 26.8% rise in net profit at Rs45.02 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2007.
Net profit for the third quarter ended December 31, 2006, stood at Rs35.48 crore.
IGL registered a 14.24% growth in turnover during the quarter at Rs209.97 crore as compared to Rs183.79 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a statement.
Sales of CNG rose 13% to Rs180.67 crore during the three month period, while those of piped natural gas grew 26% to Rs19.29 crore.
A joint venture of Gail India and the Delhi government, IGL owns a city gas pipeline network of 1,250 km in Delhi. It has 145 CNG stations.
