Mumbai: Private sector lender Yes Bank today said its net profit ratcheted 95.04% to Rs105.79 crore for the third quarter of the current fiscal.
The bank had a net profit of Rs54.24 crore in the December quarter of financial year 2008, Yes Bank said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Total income rose to Rs726.15 crore in the quarter ended 31 December, 2008 from Rs443.18 crore a year ago.
While, for the nine-month period ended 31 December, Yes Bank registered a net profit of Rs223.73 crore, a 65% growth over the same period a year ago. It had a net profit of Rs135.52 crore in the same period last year.
Total income rose to Rs1,782.27 crore in the period under review from Rs1,171.05 crore last fiscal.
Even as the benchmark index was trading in the negative territory, Yes Bank was up 0.14% from its previous close and was trading at Rs71.60 in the afternoon trade on the BSE.
