Govt-to-citizen kiosks installed in Capital
New Delhi: Bartronics India Ltd has installed the first of 2,000 government-to-citizen (G2C) kiosks that have been planned for the Capital ahead of the Commonwealth Games in October. The solar-powered kiosks house two computers connected to a central data server and the Internet, and they offer services from government agencies such as tourism departments, the Railways, the Delhi government, and the Delhi Development Authority.
In a media statement, Bartronics managing director Sudhir Rao said, “The uniqueness of this project is that citizens will not be charged any fee for undertaking any transaction at the kiosks."
