Mumbai: GMR Infrastructure on Thursday said its consolidated net profit dipped by 36.25% to Rs40.84 crore for the third quarter ended 31 December.
The company had a net profit of Rs64.07 crore for the same quarter FY 2008, GMR Infrastructure said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Net sales of the company rose to Rs959.15 crore for the quarter under review from Rs534.99 crore in the corresponding period a year-ago.
The company posted a foreign exchange loss (net) of Rs25.24 crore for the quarter under review.
For the nine months ended December, the company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs129.32 crore, while net sales stood at Rs2,691.43 crore.
On the standalone basis, the company reported a 42.02% increase in net profit at Rs22.27 crore for the third quarter this fiscal. It had posted a standalone net profit Rs15.68 crore in the same period year ago.
Total standalone income of the company rose to Rs37.45 crore for the quarter under review against Rs17.96 crore in the corresponding period last year.
In a another disclosure the company said that its non independent director, K Balasubramanian, has resigned citing personal reasons.
Shares of GMR Infrastructure were trading at Rs73.60 on BSE, down 1.67% over the previous close.
