Mumbai: Public sector lender Andhra Bank said that its net profit for the second quarter ended 30 September grew by 7% at Rs161.53 crore over the corresponding period a year ago.
The bank had a net profit of Rs151.21 crore for the September quarter last fiscal, Andhra Bank said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Total income rose to Rs1,463.53 crore for the quarter under review from Rs1,183.41 crore for the same period last year.
For the six-month ended 30 September, Andhra Bank posted a net profit of Rs239.15 crore, an 18% decline over the corresponding period a year ago. It had a net profit of Rs292.30 crore for the same period last financial year.
Total income rose to Rs2,739.57 crore for the six-month ended 30 September, from Rs2,285.32 for the same period a year ago.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs42.10, up 3.31% in the afternoon trade on the BSE.
