Hyderabad: A Sebi team on Friday grilled former Satyam Computer chief financial officer Vadlamani Srinivas at the Chanchalguda central jail in connection with the Rs7,800 crore accounting fraud at the IT firm.
A five-member Sebi team reached the jail, where the Satyam case accused are incarcerated, in the morning and interrogated Vadlamani till 4pm.
The same team on Thursday recorded the statements of PW’s S. Gopalakrishnan and Talluri Srinivas.
The Sebi team, however, declined to comment whether it would seek permission from the court for more questioning.
The 6th additional chief metropolitan magistrate on 18 February allowed the market regulator to question Gopalakrishnan, Talluri Srinivas and Vadlamani Srinivas.
Earlier, on the direction of the Supreme Court, the market watchdog interrogated and recorded the statements of the company’s founder B. Ramalinga Raju and his brother Rama Raju for three days from 4 February.
The I-T department will interrogate B. Ramalinga Raju on Saturday, upon being permitted to do so by the 6th additional chief metropolitan magistrate.
