New Delhi:Indian Oil Corp. Ltd, the country’s largest refining company, plans to file an affidavit in the Supreme Court on behalf of other refiners such as Hindustan Petroleum Corp. Ltd and Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd stating that the switch from Euro II to Euro III fuel across the country would start from 1 April and would be completed by October-end. The court had mandated the switch from Euro II to Euro III fuels on 1 April, while 13 Indian cities would move from Euro III to Euro IV.
“While the switch to Euro IV (is) as per schedule, Euro III will begin and will be completed in phases till October. An affidavit will be filed stating the same,” said a senior IndianOil executive, who did not want to be named.
