L&T Construction gets orders worth Rs2,410 cr

Mumbai: L&T Construction Ltd, a part of the Larsen & Toubro conglomerate, has secured orders worth Rs2,410 crore across businesses so far in the first quarter of 2012-13, the company said in a statement.

Its buildings and factories unit secured orders worth Rs1,821 crore from leading developers for constructing residential towers in various northern cities.

The infrastructure unit won orders aggregating Rs345 crore for designing and constructing viaducts and three elevated stations from Delhi Metro Rail Corp. besides other work.

The company’s water effluent and treatment business won orders worth Rs244 crore from the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board mainly for upgrading the distribution system, the company said.
