New Delhi: Mass market apparel firm Koutons Retail India Ltd plans to launch a premium menswear brand either through acquiring an existing brand or by creating a new one.
Koutons says it will launch the premium brand early next year and has earmarked a budget of up to Rs50 crore for the business, according to D.P.S. Kohli, the company’s chairman.
Koutons raised Rs146 crore in a September initial public offering and until December the company has invested about Rs23 crore in store openings, purchasing equipment and as part-payment towards acquiring a clothing brand.
Arup Ghosh named INX newsroom head
INX News Pvt. Ltd has announced the appointment of Arup Ghosh as its newsroom head. The name of an editor-in-chief will shortly be announced.
Ghosh, who has more than 25 years of experience in print and television journalism, has held senior positions at television news companies, including NDTV Ltd, Sahara Samay and Channel 7. Prior to that, he spent 13 years working for the top newspapers of the country including ‘The Times of India’, the ‘Hindustan Times’ and ‘The Statesman’.
Prior to joining INX News, Ghosh ran a consultancy firm called Network 1 Media Consultancy, which launched an Asian community channel in the US called STV. (Staff Writer)
