Energy | RIL, fertilizer makers may ink deal this week

New Delhi: Reliance Industries Ltd may sign contracts with fertilizer makers to supply gas from its biggest discovery off the nation’s east coast this week, a government official said. The issues are nearly resolved, oil secretary R.S. Pandey said by telephone from New Delhi on Monday. The contracts will probably be signed this week.

Petronet LNG completes expansion of terminal
New Delhi: India’s biggest buyer of liquefied natural gas, Petronet LNG Ltd has completed the expansion of its terminal on the west coast and is receiving additional supplies from BP Plc., a company official said.
New Delhi-based Petronet started operating the Dahej LNG terminal on 9 March after doubling capacity to 10 million tonnes a year, Amitava Sengupta, director of finance and commercial, said in an interview.

First Russian shipment of N-fuel this spring
Moscow: The holding company for Russia’s atomic-energy assets Rosatom Corp. plans to send Nuclear Power Corp. of India Ltd the first cargo of nuclear fuel under a new $780 million (Rs3,939 crore) contract this spring.
NPCIL will get 30 tonnes of uranium fuel from Rosatom unit OAO Tvel in the initial shipment, the Russian company said on Monday in an emailed statement.
