New Delhi: Freight charges for the ten metric tonne load hardened by Rs1,000 in the local truck transport market today following busy cargo movements amid less availability of trucks.
Transporters said, increased arrivals of cargo amid tight position of trucks mainly pushed up some of centres freight rates.
Hike in diesel prices by the Delhi government also influenced the trading sentiment.
Delhi to Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram freights rose by Rs1,000 each to Rs 47,000 and Rs54,000.
Rates to Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Goa also moved up by Rs1,000 each to Rs 29,000, Rs32,000 and Rs31,000, respectively.
Guwahati and Patna freights also rose by Rs1,000 each to Rs39,000 and Rs20,000.
