HPCL Q4 net dips 30% at Rs384 cr

Mumbai: State-run Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) has reported a standalone net profit of Rs384.51 crore for the quarter ended March 2008, a 30% decline over the year-ago period.
The total income rose to Rs31,788.27 crore in the latest quarter, from Rs22,041.62 crore in the corresponding period a year-ago.
The board has declared a dividend of 30% on shares of face value of Rs10 for 2007-08.
For the year ended March 2008, the company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs1,364.1 crore, an 18.51% decline over the year-ago period. The firm had a net profit of Rs1,674.02 crore in FY07.
The total income rose to Rs1,11,626.36 crore in FY08, from Rs94,680.63 crore in the previous fiscal.
On a standalone basis, the net profit of Rs1,134.88 crore for the financial year ended March 2008, was 27.77% lower over the year-ago period. However, total income rose to Rs1,05,901.73 crore.
