BackSBI names Pradeep Kumar managing director

Mumbai: Country’s largest lender, State Bank of India (SBI) on Sunday named P. Pradeep Kumar as its managing director (MD) and group executive in charge of corporate banking.
The appointment is in effect from 27 December.
Prior to this, Pradeep Kumar was deputy managing director and group executive of corporate banking group, which looks after corporate accounts and project finance operations of the bank.
Presently, SBI has three other managing directors. They are S. Viswanathan, Hemant Contractor and A. Krishnakumar.
Viswanathan is in charge of associates and subsidiaries, Contractor in charge of international banking while Krishnakumar takes care of national banking group, which covers SBI’s retail operations.
