Godrej Consumer Q3 net dips 7%
Mumbai: Consumer goods major Godrej Consumer Products on Tuesday said its consolidated profit after tax, for the third quarter (Q3) ended 31 December 2008, declined nearly 7% at Rs40 crore over the corresponding period a year ago.
The firm had a consolidated profit after tax of Rs43 crore in the third quarter (Q3) last fiscal, Godrej Consumer Products (GCPL) said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Consolidated total income of the fast moving consumer goods manufacturer rose to Rs343.63 crore in the quarter from Rs274.22 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
On a standalone basis, the company registered a profit after tax of Rs38.92 crore in the December quarter, a 6% decline over the same period a year ago.
It had a profit after tax of Rs41.47 crore in the third quarter (Q3) ended 31 December 2007.
Further, Godrej Consumer announced the third interim dividend of one rupee per share for the current financial year.
