New Delhi: Hospital chain Fortis Healthcare Ltd said on Thursday it has registered a net profit of Rs6.8 crore in the third quarter ended 31 December.
The company had a net loss of Rs6.83 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, Fortis Healthcare said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Total income of the company stood at Rs161.06 crore for the period under review against Rs121.55 crore in the year-ago period.
The company is in the process of preparing the draft for a Rs1,000 crore rights issue which it would submit to the market regulator Security and Exchange Board of India by middle of next month.
“We are expecting to close the rights issue by the end of June this year,” Fortis Healthcare chief financial officer Yogesh Sareen said.
