List of rich Indians expands with Mukesh Ambani on the top
2007 saw some of our top corporate leaders figuring amongst the world’s richest tycoons. On top of the pile was Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, whose net worth shot up to $63.2 billion on 29October, 2007, making him the richest Indian in the world.
Following at a close second was L N Mittal, chairman and chief executive of the world’s largest steel company ArcelorMittal with an estimated worth of $51 billion. Anil Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Capital, Reliance Energy and Reliance Communication showed a net worth of $45 billion, helping him notch up the third position. Next in line were KP Singh of DLF, Azim Premji of Wipro and Sunil Bharti Mittal of Bharti Telecom.
