GIC sees global ops contributing 50% revenue in 2015

Mumbai: Indian reinsurer General Insurance Corp of India expects overseas business to contribute 50% of its total revenue by 2015, a top company official said on Tuesday.

Global operations currently make up 27% of turnover, Chairman and Managing Director Yogesh Lohiya told reporters on the sidelines of an industry summit.

He also said the company had no plans to sell stake in its mortgage lending unit, GIC Housing Finance Ltd, he added.
