New Delhi: The country’s second largest two-wheeler maker Bajaj Auto on Monday reported its highest ever motorcycle sales in a month at 3,14,515 units in September, registering 26.24% jump over the same month last year.
The company had sold 2,49,133 units in September last year, Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) said in a statement.
The best figure by the Pune-based company was achieved on the back of robust performance by its premium bike Pulsar and Discover 100, it added.
BAL’s exports went up by 26.37% to 1,01,960 units in last month from 80,681 units in September 2009.
The company reported a rise of 22.92% in its three-wheeler sales during last month at 38,254 units as against 31,121 units during the same month last year.
Total vehicle sales of the company in the last month stood at 3,52,769 units compared to 2,80,916 units in the same period a year ago, a growth of 25.58% , the statement said.
