BackSun TV appoints Mahesh Kumar as president
Kumar, who has over 23 years of experience, was appointed as part of Sun TV's ongoing effort to strengthen the management team

Chennai: Sun TV Network Ltd on Thursday appointed R.Mahesh Kumar as president with effect from 1 November.
The Chennai-based media company informed BSE that Kumar was appointed, as part of its ongoing effort to strengthen the management team. The 46-year-old chartered accountant has over 23 years of experience, including 15 years in the media industry. He started his career with Citibank and also served in consulting firm KPMG and American Express.
Kumar was with Rajan Raheja group, where he was the president and CEO of the Asianet Satellite Communications Ltd, before he joined Sun group. He has been associated with Sun group in the past too for over five years in senior management roles.
At 12.30pm, Sun TV share’s were trading at ₹ 377.90, down by 0.76%, while the benchmark Sensex index was down 0.30% at 26,959.60 points.
