Mirc Electronics halts work at Wada plant

New Delhi: Consumer electronics and appliances maker Mirc Electronics Ltd has suspended operations at its plant situated in Wada, Maharashtra.

According to an announcement made by the company on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Monday, the reason behind the suspension was agitation of workers. “In one of the factories of the company at Wada, Kudus village, Thane, the contract workers have resorted to agitation, in view of which the plant operations have been suspended since 1 January 2010,” a company statement said without giving detail.
