Cholamandalam announces partnership with ProcessMAP Infotech

Chennai: Cholamandalam MS Risk Services Ltd, a Joint Venture between the Murugappa group, India and Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group, Japan, Tuesday announced their partnership with ProcessMAP Infotech Pvt. Ltd, an affiliate company of ProcessMAP Corporation, US, a leading provider of hosted, subscription-based software Solutions Company.
The duo has forged a go-to-market alliance around improving the environment, health and safety information management and decision support by delivering a web-based information management platform, a company press release said.
The alliance would help companies manage the increasingly complex and emerging needs in environmental, health and safety compliance, risk information and underlying processes,it said.
The scope of this alliance includes joint marketing, strategy consulting, software innovation, and implementation services.
N V Subba Rao, Head-Risk services, Cholamandalam MS Risk Service said that the launch would initially focus on manufacturing, petrochemicals, telecommunication, retail and power sectors in India, Asia-Pacific and select countries in the Gulf.
Both companies would utilise their technology and industry expertise to develop several best-in-class industry-specific tailored solutions, based on ProcessMAPs market leading software platform, Subbarao added.
Dave Rath, Chief Executive Officer of ProcessMAP, said the solutions provided through this partnership would include enterprise web-based applications in environmental management, occupational health, workplace and industrial safety, industrial hygiene, audits, greenhouse gas (GHG) portfolio management and corporate EH&S performance management.
The solutions would be delivered on a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, which would include software, hosting infrastructure, maintenance and support. The first set of solutions will be rolled out in the second quarter of 2009, he added.
