Mumbai: Engineering firm Larsen & Toubro Ltd said on 23 January it has bagged orders aggregating Rs 1,057 crore in the Middle East.
L&T’s Oman-based subsidiary has won a $116-million (Rs457-crore) order from Oman Electricity Transmission Co. for building electrical grid stations and associated transmission system on EPC basis, it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
L&T has also received an order to build a $48 million (Rs189 crore) factory complex in Oman, it added.
Further, the company has also secured an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) order worth $105 million (Rs411 crore) from the Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC) for the construction of five electrical substations and associated MV Cabling in Abu Dhabi, the company said.
Under the contract, L&T would design and construct these primary substations as per the specifications of the international consultant PB Power, within 24 months.
Shares of L&T were trading at Rs3,831.15, up 4.81% in afternoon trade on the BSE.
