Mumbai: Diversified conglomerate Aditya Birla Nuvo said that its consolidated net loss for the second quarter stood at Rs104.60 crore, while it had posted a net profit of Rs47.78 crore in the same period a year ago.
The total income rose to Rs3,631.06 crore in the quarter under review, from Rs2,808.61 crore in the same quarter last year, Aditya Birla Nuvo said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
On a standalone basis, the company reported a net profit of Rs65.31 crore in the September quarter, a 19.07% growth over the corresponding period a year ago. The firm had a net profit of Rs54.85 crore in the same quarter last year.
The company’s standalone income increased to Rs1,343.58 crore in the second quarter, from Rs923.93 crore in the same period previous year.
The company has re-appointed Bharat K Singh as Managing Director of the company with effect from 1 November for a period of one year.
Shares of the company closed at Rs471.35, down 20.06% on the BSE.
