Elecrama gets UFI certification
Mumbai: Elecrama, a customized platform designed to showcase electrical and professional electronic products has recently been awarded the status of “UFI approved event" for the international exhibition of Electrical and Industrial Electronic Industry.
This certification places it at par with world class exhibitions like Hannover Fair-Germany, Intel-Italy and Matelec-Spain.
Senior Director of Indian Electrical and Electronic Manufactures’ Association (IEEMA) Abhay Gaba said: “Elecrama is now a “truly global platform", the place to be, seen and conduct international business.
The word Elecrama, formed by using parts of the two words Electricity and Panorama aptly denotes a wide ranging variety of electronic products.
Commenting on industry trends, he said: “As India powers ahead in productivity, the power sector will be the key driver, enabling and aiding the growth engines of industry." An enhanced outlay and ambitious electrification targets set by the government, translate into creating one of the biggest opportunities for the power industry worldwide.
This will be a significant achievement for the 200,000 MW power scenario. Additionally, it will be a key catalyst for industry members to grow, provide employment and increase wealth creation for all members.
The eighth Elecrama-2008 is scheduled to be held from 18-22 January, 2008 at Mumbai. To benefit the industry, three concurrent seminars will be organized, including Cable Wire-2008, Elroma-2008 and Swicon-2008.
IEEMA is an ISO certified association and is into its 60th year of electrifying service to the industry.
