Mumbai: DB Corp Ltd, which publishes the Hindi daily Dainik Bhaskar, posted a 57% increase in fourth-quarter profit to Rs36.7 crore million from Rs23.5 crore a year ago.
Total revenue rose 9% to Rs257.2 crore from Rs235.8 crore. Advertising revenue rose 11% to Rs185.1 crore from Rs167.1 crore
Annual profit jumped nearly 284% to Rs182.8 crore from Rs47.6 crore a year ago. Total consolidated revenue rose 11% to Rs1,063 crore from Rs961 crore. Advertising revenue for the year rose to Rs77.76 crore from Rs69.79 crore, up 11%.
Sudhir Agarwal, managing director, DB Corp, said that the financial performance and readership expansion reflected good growth momentum which the company will continue to maintain.
