Michael Perschke to take over as Head-Audi India from 1 July
Mumbai: Michael Perschke has been appointed as head of Audi India effective 1 July.
His extensive work experience with various brands in Europe and Asia includes 3-years in India from 1997 to 2000 as general manager for Mercedes-Benz, also responsible at that time for network development and regional sales sub-continent.
Perschke joined the Volkswagen Group in 2004 with the responsibility of steering National Sales Companies and developing wholesale strategy, a press release issued said.
He began in AUDI AG from 2008 where he is till date in charge of European Service Network Project with the target to improve service network quality and develop European network quality standards.
He will take over from Benoit Tiers who started the all-India operations for Audi in the country early-2007.
Tiers is being promoted to Head of Audi in France, one of the biggest markets for the brand in Europe, with sales over 50,000 units per year for Audi, the release said.
