Mumbai: TVS Motor Co. Ltd swung to a quarterly profit in the quarter ended 31 December buoyed by higher sales across categories, and may hike prices of some products to offset a rise in costs, it said.
TVS Motor on Wednesday reported a net profit of Rs23.5 crore in the quarter ended 31 December against a loss of Rs96 lakh in the same period last year.
Net sales rose by a quarter to Rs1,070 crore.
Total two-wheeler sales rose 21.7% to 372,000 units, while motorcycles came in at 151,000 units in comparison with 144,000 in the year-ago period, it said.
Scooters grew almost 32% to 76,000 units.
