McLeod Russel India’s Q4 loss rises 13.3% to Rs235.67 crore
McLeod Russel's total income grew marginally to `317.32 crore during the quarter from `311.27 crore a year ago
Kolkata: McLeod Russel India Ltd on Monday said standalone net loss in the quarter ended 31 March rose 13.3% to 235.67 crore from a net loss of 207.95 crore a year ago due to higher finance costs and increase in expenses.
Total income from operations grew marginally to 317.32 crore during the quarter from 311.27 crore in the year-ago-period.
The fourth quarter is a lean quarter for tea-producing companies due to lower production during this period.
Finance costs increased almost 56.8% to 25.59 crore during the March quarter, compared with 16.32 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.
Total expenses increased 6.74% to 560.66 crore during the quarter from 525.25 crore a year ago.
