BackFortis Healthcare Q4 net loss at Rs116 crore
The firm says Q4 consolidated total income increased to Rs1,610 crore over Rs1,279 crore in the same quarter of FY 2011-12

New Delhi: Fortis Healthcare Ltd on Thursday reported consolidated net loss of Rs116 crore for the fourth quarter ended 31 March.
It had reported net profit of Rs48 crore in the January - March quarter of 2011-12 fiscal.
The company said in a statement that its Q4 consolidated total income increased to Rs1,610 crore over Rs1,279 crore in the same quarter of FY 2011-12, the statement added.
Fortis Healthcare Group CEO Vishal Bal said: “Our focus in FY13 was targeted towards a twin objective of strengthening our balance sheet position while improving the operating performance of the company. Over the last two quarters we have achieved a significant improvement in the debt equity position of the company."
He added: “All our businesses have shown significant growth on an annualised basis; we are taking multiple steps to consolidate the operating performance of the company with our Indian operations poised to contribute over 70% of our global business during FY14."
On standalone basis, the company’s net loss for the quarter ended 31 March, was at Rs9 crore.
The company had reported net profit of Rs184.9 crore in the January-March quarter of FY’12.
