L&T bags orders worth Rs.2,503 crore

Mumbai: Engineering and construction company Larsen and Toubro Ltd (L&T) said on Tuesday that it has secured orders valued at over Rs.2,503 crore.
The infrastructure division secured orders worth over Rs.1,985 crore from GVK Projects and Technical Services, the company said in a statement. Its buildings and factories division won orders worth Rs.397 crore for constructing an office building in Mumbai, and additional orders from various ongoing projects.
L&T also said it will execute a major portion of the works for the 850 MW Ratle hydroelectric power project at Chenab in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district.
L&T shares were trading at Rs.1,552.15 at 3.25pm on BSE, down about 0.43% from the previous day’s close, while India’s benchmark index Sensex was 0.16% lower at 18,338.84 points.
