Chennai: Nissan on Monday announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with MyTVS to strengthen its service networks and provide more vehicle service options for Nissan and Datsun customers.

Along with MyTVS— a brand owned by TVS Automobile Solutions Private Ltd (TVS ASPL), the Japanese car manufacturer will soon have eight Nissan Authorised Service Points (NASPs) in Tamil Nadu, in addition to its own dealer network of 23 outlets, the company said.

The car manufacturer which is looking at improving customer access for car services began sales of Datsun’s third model in India—the redi-GO, which has been fully developed in India—earlier this month.

“Increased options and more convenient access to car servicing make our customers happier," said Guillaume Sicard, president of Nissan India Operations. “We are always striving to enhance the pleasure of owning a Nissan or Datsun car in India. Our partnership with MyTVS shows Nissan’s unwavering commitment to improving convenience and satisfaction for our customers," he added.

The NASP will offer customer convenience in terms of service and repair. The services offered will include original parts availability, consumable service parts replacement (such as oil filters and brake pads), and trained staff for providing service. Nissan and MyTVS are moving forward with plans for further expansion of NASPs to cover other locations throughout India.

“We’re delighted to be associated with global brands like Nissan and Datsun. This is an important tie-up for us which helps expand our presence and enjoy various synergies that are generated between our companies that add value for our customers," said Srinivas Raghavan, executive director, MyTVS.

One of India’s largest companies in the automobile aftermarket, TVS ASPL offers car service and parts solutions to multiple brands including roadside assistance, automotive insurance, tools and equipment, and fleet.

Nissan Motor India Private Ltd. (NMIPL) is a 100% subsidiary of Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. Japan and NMIPL has a portfolio of two brands, Nissan and Datsun. The Datsun Go was launched in India in 2014, marking the global comeback of the brand after nearly three decades.

Nissan aims to double its reach by 2017 with a total presence of 300 dealers throughout India, aiming to grow its network to cover 95% of the population.
