Sterlite’s Q2 net flat as copper revenue slides
Mumbai: Officials of Sterlite Industries (India) Ltd, the nation’s largest non-ferrous metals company, said second quarter net income was little changed as revenue from turning copper ore into refined metal declined and zinc prices fell.
Profit, including that of units, was Rs1,080 crore in the three months ended 30 September, from Rs1,070 crore from the year-ago period, the Mumbai-based company said on Monday. Bloomberg
Auto parts maker Mico’s profit up 9.09%
Mumbai: The country’s largest auto component manufacturer Motor Industries Co. Ltd (Mico) on Monday posted a net profit increase of 9.09%, at Rs136.75 crore for the quarter ended 30 September, compared with Rs125.35 crore for the year-ago quarter.
The total income of the company rose by 4.62% to Rs1,068.33 crore for the quarter, against Rs1,021.11 crore for the same quarter last fiscal. PTI
New Delhi: State-run Housing and Urban Development Corp. Ltd (Hudco) on Monday reported more than threefold increase in its net profit at Rs164.91 crore for the half-year ended 30 September, compared with Rs46.99 crore for the same period last year. Hudco had sanctioned Rs3,504crore in the period, compared with Rs1,389 crore in the year-ago period. P TI
Mumbai: Bank of India (BOI) reported a 100.49% jump in net profit for the second quarter buoyed by credit growth and reduction in operation expenses.
The lender posted Rs425 crore as net profit for the quarter ended September, as against Rs212 crore for the same period a year ago. PTI
Mumbai:Tata Tea Ltd on Monday posted a 43.7% decline in net profit at Rs109.24 crore for the quarter ended 30 September, compared with Rs194.08 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.
Tata Tea’s total income increased to Rs1,116.9 crore for the quarter, from Rs1,014.94 crore during the same quarter last fiscal—up 10%. PTI
New Delhi:Oriental Bank of Commerce on Monday posted a 23.97% decline in net profit to Rs236.24 crore for the September quarter, against Rs310.75 crore in the year-ago period on slowdown in credit growth. Total income of the bank rose by 28.10% to Rs1,788.21 crore. PTI
