Mahindra’s chief of international sales and marketing quits
Arun Malhotra was recently elevated to his new role from senior VP - sales and customer care
New Delhi: Mumbai-based tractor to two-wheeler company Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd’s chief of international sales and marketing Arun Malhotra has put in his papers to pursue “better opportunities", two people familiar with the development told Mint independently.
Malhotra was recently elevated to his new role from senior vice-president (sales and customer care). He was also taking care of farm equipment sector at the firm.
A Mahindra spokesperson declined to comment on the matter.
Malhotra did not respond to phone calls or text messages sent on Tuesday.
“He (Malhotra) will pursue better opportunities in the automotive sector," said one of the persons quoted above.
This is second such top level exit in the Indian auto industry after Mayank Pareek, Maruti Suzuki’s chief operating officer (COO) for sales and marketing, quit to join Tata Motors Ltd.
On Friday, Mahindra launched next generation Scorpio as it looks to reaffirm its leadership position in the country.
