Mumbai: L&T Construction Ltd’s building and factories divison secured new orders worth Rs2,592 crore during the first quarter of 2012-2013, the company said in a media statement.
In the residential buildings segment, new orders worth Rs1,206 crore have been secured from leading developers for the construction of multistoried residential towers in Bangalore and Gurgaon, including additional work in ongoing projects, the statement said.
The commercial buildings segment has bagged orders worth Rs1,165 crore for the construction of a mixed use development, hospital building and other institutional buildings in major cities across India, it said.
New orders worth Rs221 crore have been secured from leading automobile companies for the construction of factories.
