New Delhi: Drug firm Dr Reddy’s laboratories on Thursday said it has entered into a settlement agreement with Pfizer to resolve litigation over cholesterol lowering Lipitor tablets.
The Hyderabad-based firm has settled patent litigation with Pfizer over Lipitor tablets, generically known as Atorvastatin Calcium tablets, in the strengths of 10 mg, 20mg, 40 mg and 80 mg, Dr Reddy’s said in a statement.
“The terms of the agreement are confidential, and the agreement itself is subject to review by the United States (US) Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission,” it said.
New York-based Pfizer had sued Dr Reddy’s in 2009.
Shares of Dr Reddy’s Laboratories today closed at Rs 1,493.85 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, up 1.89% from its previous close.
