Jubilant Foodworks Limited (JFL), master franchisee of Domino’s Pizza launched its maiden store in Sri Lanka on 2 September 2011 in Colombo confirmed Ajay Kaul, chief executive, JFL. This is the firm’s first venture globally. With the launch of this store in Sri Lanka, Domino’s Pizza continues to expand its global footprint. The store at Dehiwala would focus on pizza home delivery but would also offer all day dine-in option to consumers at the store.
Earlier last week Domino’s pizza also launched its Online Ordering service nationally to cater to the large and fast growing population of Netizans in India. Harneet Singh Rajpal, vice president, Domino’s Pizza said online sales contribute to 4% of their total sales presently and expect a healthy double digit number in the next few years.
The promoters of HT Media Ltd, which publishes Mint, and Jubilant, are closely related. There are no promoter cross-holdings.
