KPMG India appoints Vikram Hosangady as PE head
Move after firm’s transactions and restructuring and PE head Vikram Utamsingh left the firm
Mumbai: KPMG India has named Vikram Hosangady, its head of transaction services, as the head of private equity (PE) after its transactions and restructuring and PE head Vikram Utamsingh left the firm.
“I am leaving KPMG," Utamsingh said in a phone interview without providing further details.
Hosangady will continue to head the transaction services practice, where he worked on over 150 transactions in India and overseas, KPMG said in a statement.
“The private equity business in India has fared through rough winds in the past couple of years, and is now seeing a churn in the industry," said Hosangady, adding that the focus will be to progress to the next level, where KPMG will serve its PE clients by adding value to their investee companies.
