Hyderabad: Hyundai Construction Equipment India (HCEPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries is expected to roll its first 20 tonne excavator during this month.
The Rs300-crore factory initially produce 10,000 units of excavators of various capacities from 8 to 80 tons in a phased manner, HCEPL Managing Director J S Kim said on the sidelines of a press conference here today.
He said HCEPL has taken a decision to set up its earthmoving division in view of the India’s fast growing infrastructure building facility and hoped Hyundai will expand its activities with more investments in future.
Kim said the company, which had set up a plant in Pune also, is expected to achieve a good market share in the country.
HCEPL’s Southern Regional Office cater services to states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
