DaimlerChrysler ties-up with Total for supplying Elf oil

New Delhi, 5 September Truck-maker DaimlerChrysler India Pvt Ltd today announced it has tied-up with TotalFinaElf India Ltd for supply of Elf branded engine oils and specialty products.
DaimlerChrysler India’s commercial vehicle division has tied-up with the wholly-owned subsidiary of French giant ‘Total´ to supply Elf engine oil to DaimlerChrysler’s dealer network and customers.
“We pioneered the luxury car segment in India and now look forward to establish ourselves in the niche commercial vehicle market. With strong brand, superior technology and excellent width and depth of distribution, Elf is an ideal partner for us,” DaimlerChrysler India MD and CEO Wilfried Aulbur said in a release.
DaimlerChrysler offers different variants of Mercedes-Benz cars in India and it locally assembles them in its Pune facility.
Total Group is a Fortune 500 company and has a turnover of over Rs 9,00,000 crore. It is engaged in gamut of petroleum activities, from exploration to production and refining to marketing of oil and gas.
