New Delhi: Air India is entitled to compensation by Boeing Co. for delays in the delivery of Dreamliner planes, the US aircraft maker’s India head Dinesh Keskar said on Tuesday.
In January, Boeing said it would supply the first Dreamliner 787 aircraft to Air India by the second quarter of 2011, adding more planes would be later delivered to the national carrier.
The first Dreamliner was originally scheduled to be delivered in 2008 and Air India has sought compensation from Boeing for the delay in deliveries.
