Kolkata: J.P. Dua, former executive director of Kolkata-based Allahabad Bank, has been appointed chairman and managing director (MD) of the bank. He had joined the bank as an executive director in November 2007, Allahabad Bank said in a statement.
The post of its chairman and MD fell vacant in October after K.R. Kamath joined Punjab National Bank as its chairman and managing director. Dua, 47, had earlier worked for Oriental Bank of Commerce.
Keki Mistry to replace Deepak Parekh at HDFC
Mumbai: Housing Development Finance Corp. Ltd (HDFC) will see a change of guard on 1 January 2010 when Keki Mistry takes over as vice-chairman and chief executive officer from Deepak Parekh, who will become non-executive chairman after 16 years at the top. “Keki M. Mistry, currently the vice-chairman and managing director will be re-designated as the vice-chairman and chief executive officer of the Corporation from 1 January 2010,” the mortgage firm said in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Mistry is currently vice-chairman and managing director and has been a board member for 16 years. He will be now responsible for the overall functioning of the company.
As a part of the organizational restructuring Renu Sud Karnad, will be managing director of the institution for five years beginning January 2010. She will continue to be responsible for the operations, human resources and communications functions.
Srinivasa Ranganhas been elevated to executive director for five years from senior general manager and chief treasurer and will oversee resources and accounts functions.
