UCO Bank Q4 net zooms four-fold, FY’10 profit at ₹1,012 cr
Mumbai: Public sector lender UCO Bank on Friday said net profit surged nearly four-fold to Rs379.80 crore for the fourth quarter ended 31 March, 2010, in comparison to the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
Total income of the bank rose to Rs2,690 crore for the quarter ended 31 March compared to Rs2,520.62 crore during the corresponding period of the previous year, UCO Bank said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The bank has recommended a dividend of Rs1.50 per share.
For the year ended March, 2010, the bank posted a net profit of Rs1,012 crore compared to Rs557.72 crore in the last fiscal.
The bank reported a total income of Rs10,492.25 crore for the year ended March, 2010, as against Rs9,141.28 crore in the previous financial year.
The bank earned an interest of Rs2,435.91 crore for the quarter ended 31 March, compared to Rs2,164.28 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
Shares of UCO Bank on Friday closed at Rs69.20 on the BSE, down 1.14% from the previous close.
