New Delhi: With summer at its peak, the demand for refrigerators has zoomed. New brands are being introduced with new features and old ones are being rejigged and re-released with a new look.
Toshiba Leading Innovation has just launched its new range of refrigerators in India in the Standard, Premium and Ultra Modern segments. A 100% subsidiary of $59 billion Toshiba Corporation Japan, the world leader in the cutting edge, innovative technology,it will cater to all price segments in India.
The complete range of refrigerators from Toshiba’s Global line-up are manufactured and imported from their Thailand factory. These are developed and customized to suit local requirements of the average Indian consumer.
They all use patent technology of UV guard system that integrates three fresh technologies – UV fresh guard + hybrid plasma deodorizer + cool air wrap.
The Standard range has a Hybrid Guard System, Premium has a Stainless Steel Finish Door with Hybrid Guard System with Auto Ice Make and the Ultra Modern has a Glass Finish Door with Hybrid Guard System
Mr Nobuo Ito, Director, Toshiba Consumer Marketing Corporation said, “India is an extremely important market for Toshiba. The economy boom in India, changing lifestyle of Indian consumer and recent development of modern trade are some of the factors which led us to increase our focus and commitment towards the Indian market and hence, today we are launching this new range of refrigerators.”
The company’s strategy is to tie-up directly with all major retailers/ dealers and to develop a strong supply chain management system and after sales service network in all our markets. By 2008 their target is to cover Pan India and also to capture more than 10% of the market share of mid-high segment of the No-frost category.”
With a strong emphasis on ‘Technology Innovation’ and with the support of its R&D Team in the Thailand factory, they hope to develop world class products with advanced features which are aesthetic and which match consumer lifestyles while adhering to local regulations like energy efficiency and star ratings.
