Hyderabad: Moser Baer Photo Voltaic Ltd (MBPV) on Monday said the expansion plans of the company would depend on the National Solar Mission policy which is slated to be announced on 14 November.
Chief executive officer of the company Rajeewa Arya said here Monday though the governments of Andhra Pradesh (AP) and Tamil Nadu allotted land for setting up plants, the company was not in a hurry to begin work immediately.
Arya told reporters on the sidelines of Solarcon, a three-day international conference on solar energy, which began here today that the expansion plans at Noida should be completed before the work is taken up in AP and Tamil Nadu.
He said the delay in expansion at Greater Noida plant was due to economic downtrend.
Expansion plans would depend on how the market opens up and the targets that would be set up in the national policy.
