New Delhi: US-based UTStarcom Inc., which recently bagged IPTV deals from Bharti Airtel and MTNL, said it hopes to generate 10% of its total global revenues from India.
“We expect 10% of our total global revenues from India in the next two-three years from currently $150 million (Rs597 crore) and hope for more deals in IPTV segment by the next quarter this year,” UTStarcom managing director Vijay Yadav said.
According to industry sources, the company is likely to announce its next deal in the IPTV segment with Reliance Communications.
IPTV will be the company’s main revenue stream in the near future, Yadav said. “IPTV has huge potential and will be a big success with broadband costs coming down and CAS becoming compulsory in the country,” he said. PTI
