Mumbai: Public sector lender Union Bank of India posted a 42.67% rise in net profit on 23 January, at Rs365.02 crore for the quarter ended 31 December, 2007 as compared to Rs255.84 crore in the same quarter last year.
The total income of the bank rose 39.24% at Rs2,806.40 crore for Q3FY08, against Rs2,015.46 crore during Q3FY07, Union Bank informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Dena Bank Q3 net up 43%
Dena Bank reported a 43.3% rise in net profit at Rs101.07 crore for the quarter ended 31 December, 2007 against Rs70.53 crore during the year-ago quarter.
Total income rose 17.23% at Rs804.13 crore as against Rs685.89 during the corresponding period previous fiscal, Dena Bank informed the BSE.
Canara Bank Q3 net up 26%
The country’s third largest public sector lender Canara Bank clocked a 26.39% rise in net profit at Rs458.83 crore for the third quarter ended 31 December, 2007, against Rs363.02 in the corresponding period last year.
Total income of the bank went up 26.22% at Rs4,096.60 crore for Q3FY08, versus Rs3,245.39 crore during the same quarter last year, Canara Bank said in a filing to the BSE.
