New Delhi: Tata Communications Ltd (Tata Comm) said on Tuesday it had won a contract to manage the call centres of telecom firm Sistema Shyam TeleServices Ltd (SSTL).
Sistema Shyam TeleServices, a joint venture of Russia’s Sistema Group and Shyam Group, is undertaking an aggressive roll-out of its telecom services under the brand MTS across the country. Tata Comm did not give any value of the deal but said it would be on a “pay-per-use” model.
IndianOil delays overseas investment
New Delhi: The nation’s biggest refiner Indian Oil Corp. Ltd will delay crude-processing and pipeline projects overseas, including Nigeria and Turkey, because of reduced cash flow after selling fuels below cost.
“We may not be able to expand overseas in a big way because of the liquidity crunch,” Brij Mohan Bansal, the company’s director of planning and business development, said in a telephone interview from New Delhi on Monday, without providing details. “We are keeping on the back burner our overseas projects, be it refineries or pipelines.”
