Mumbai: Power Grid Corporation of India on Tuesday reported 16.71% rise in its net profit to Rs1,690.61 crore for the fiscal year ended 31 March 2009, over the same period last year.
The company had a net profit of Rs1,448.47 crore in the same period ended March 2008, Power Grid Corporation of India said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Total revenue from operations rose to ₹ ,675.85 crore for the period ended March 2009, from ₹ 4,702.47 crore in the same period a year ago.
The board of directors of the company has proposed a dividend of Rs0.70 a piece.
Shares of Power Grid Corporation of India settled at Rs122.50, up 0.29% on the BSE.
