New Delhi: Singapore Airlines today announced the commencement of Ministry of Tourism’s ‘Incredible India’ campaign videos on its flights from India, becoming the first international airline to showcase it onboard. Through this campaign, the airline will be able to give further impetus towards promoting India as a destination via TV commercials and films on its 58 weekly services to eight destinations in India.
Incredible India campaign that uses captivating visuals of India, showcasing its exciting diversity in terms of geography, heritage, culture and cuisines is a major initiative by the Ministry of Tourism aiming to promote the country as a vital tourist destination.
“India has witnessed a phenomenal increase in the number of tourists in past few years. We attribute part of this increase to the Incredible India campaign and to the enhanced air connectivity to India,” said Leena Nandan, joint secretary, Ministry of Tourism.
“The video will be shown to all the passagners as our flights touch base in India. The joint initiative aims at spreading awareness about India’s diverse tourist destinations and culture at a global level,” said C.W. Foo, general manager India, Singapore Airlines.
